Hi folks, I am running Jaws 7.0 on Windows XP Home, a 3 GHZ processor with 768 MB of DDR Ram. When I go to the Control Panel and open the speech controls, and go to the Text To Speech tab, I cannot select a different default voice for the computer. It is currently set on LH Michael, which I hate almost as much as I hate Microsoft Sam, but I get this error each time I try to select a new voice and apply my changes.
RUNDLL An exception occurred while trying to run "C:\WINDOWS\system32\shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Speech\sapi.cpl",Speech" Does anyone know what the heck that is, and better yet, how I can fix it so I can select a different default voice for my computer? Thanks. ~Ann --- avast! Antivirus: Outbound message clean.
