Hi, What you need to do is go into SoundForge 8, Go to the Options menu on the menu bar, go up the Options menu to Preferences. Go into the Preferences menu and shift tab to the general tab. Now right arrow to the File Types tab, and tab to the button that says select none. Press that button and then tab to apply and press spacebar on apply, and then tab to OK and press enter there to accept the choice. Now exit from SoundForge and you should be able to set Winamp as your default for file types. I would guess that most people would prefer not to have SoundForge as the software that comes up as their default file player. Its' a great sound editor, but overkill for a audio file player.
