Yeah, what they suggest is using cable 1 for playback, cable 2 for 
recording, and an instance of repeater to map them to the real sound devices 
that do it. Unless one found a way to record both cables simultaneously, one 
would use a third instance to mix the 2 cables together. Yeah, Skype isn't 
that great because it's mono and many people on it clip or echo back when 
the mic picks up the speakers. For voice chatting, I've yet to find much 
better, Ventrilo with the 44.1 codec that is paid extra for on the server 
end, maybe.
