Have you tried launching the program from the executable on your hard drive, bypassing all shortcuts? If that doesn't work, try *completely* uninstalling the program, deleting it from your hard drive, and re-installing it, rather than re-installing over an existing installation.
I often find this works with Recalcitrant software, although I've never experienced the problem you're having, with Easy CD-DA Extractor.
