Hi Donna. Ripping a cd is basically taking all, or a few of the tracks on a cd, and converting the audio into a digital format like an mp3. Burning a cd is when you have a blank CD and put either regular audio tracks, or mp3s on it. Note different software can be used for either task. So that's what that's about. and, don't feel stupid! If you don't ask questions how can you possibly expect to learn right? That's what the list is for.
