Joe,

You have to associate the "correct" player (or, at least, the player you 
wish to use) with the file type of the stream you want to open in that 
player. fore example, if the stream you want to play is:
http://www.acbradio.org/mainstream.pls

and you want it to open in Winamp, you need to associate the .pls file type 
extension with Winamp. but, if you want it to open with Realplayer, instead, 
you need to associate the .pls file type extension with realplayer.



Do you know how to determine your current file type associations and how to 
modify them? If not, this is what you will need to learn.



Give me a specific example of the URL of an online stream you want to play, 
and with which player you want to open it. Then, I can give you more 
specific directions.
