Hi,

         See below for answers:> At 10:56 AM 1/2/2007, simon.dowling

>hi list, ok I am seriously thinking of setting up as a dj using my pc.
>1, what would I need in the form of an amplifier?

RJB I use an ab amplifier that I used to use with a bluegrass
band. I use Bose 802's for speakers.

>2, what modifications do I need to make to the system if any?

RJB I put a second soundcard into the computer from which the music
eminates. Then I use the default soundcard to run headphones and speech.

>3, what software do people recommend for mixing?

RJB I use ots dj and sometimes just winamp. Depending on what you
want to do. Both are accessible.

>4, how would I get round the problem so I only hear my screen reader and not
>the public?

RJB Its not only the public, but the probably substantial volume of
the system. I use a set of Bose Quiet Comfort noise cancellation headphones.

Hth,
Rusty
