Kevin,

I use Replay Converter from Applian Technologies

http://www.applian.com

to convert .rm files to .mp3 files to play on my Book Port. These files
result from capturing programs from the BBC with Replay A/V and retaining
them in their native format on my computer. The program is now included
with Replay A/V version 8, but I suppose it can still be purchased
separately if format conversion is all you want. As has been pointed out,
some quality is lost when converting from one format to another, but all of
the programs I am dealing with are mostly speech, and they sound fine on the
Book Port.
