Yes, that is now true, but it always hasn't been. Of course allofmp3 was shut down, it's now mp3sparks.com. It's my understanding that these sites could keep oppening and closing as the Russians try to keep them open because of the money. You'll just have to take your chances.
For those interested, mp3sparks.com looks, acts, and feels like allofmp3.com and the alltunes application looks, feels, and acts very similar to the allofmp3 xplorer. Tomorrow, this post may not be correct but for now, I am downloading songs as I write.
