Legacy is not a brand name. It means simply that generic (read older) drivers should work with it. Tell the person who built the computer for you that there should have been some drivers on the CD that came with the motherboard. if they don't have that CD any more, then they should be able to go to the web site of the manufacturer of the motherboard and download them for you, or you can do it yourself. Also, when Windows was installed, whoever installed it may have opted out of installing sound card drivers for whatever unknown reason. Bottom line, there are many suspects here, probably all of which you will have to research and run down and possibly try before you find the correct set.
