Well its always been fairly easy-to-use actually but it did have a  
few problems in the drive support department in earlier versions. One  
of the great features it has now is the auto accurate rip function  
which can automatically set drive offsets etc if the drive is in the  
database which the software looks up, if it can't do that then you  
can create a test CD to get this information on or look up CD'S in  
the documentation which have been used for offset calibration, these  
must be original copies though unless they've been copied by EAC in  
other words they must be "exact audio copies".
Also for those people who want to get the most out of their CD  
drives, Exact Audio Copy now has an "auto-cooling" period, you can  
set the drive to pause ripping after a period of time, the drive will  
pause for a set time before ripping resumes, some drives may need  
this because they cannot reduce speed during the ripping process if  
they encounter errors on a disc.
