High Randy,
There are many types of sound cards to choose from.
It all really depends on the kind of sound that you want to achieve.
To my ears, a 32 bit card sounds better then a 16 or 24 bit card.
But everyone's ears hears things differently.
So the best suggestion that I could make to you, is to play it by ear just 
to see what you come up with.
