Hi Randy. It depends on how dexterous you are. The last time
I replaced
a stylus was way back in the late 70's/early 80's when I had a record deck.
The cheep models I would think would be fiddly but the higher end decks are
quite easy, or were. I always used either gold ring or Shure cartridges and
replacing the stylus was simple as the stylus was held in a housing with a
contact pin at the rear which slipped into the relevant hole on the front
edge of the cartridge, it was as simple as that. As I said, it has been a
long time since I had a record deck, the last two were a rotel and finally a
JVC QL5. If cartridges and styli are of the same design and you are quite
good with your fingers then you shouldn't have a problem but you may need
sighted help for the first time. Walter.
