Check out the deal at www.rockbox.org Another great multi purpose unit is the Victor Steam from Humanware: www.humanware.ca It's not cheap but it does it all: It also has an internal speaker which has been improved with the release of the latest firmware. Many other non speaking units are available. I hear that the creative Zenstone is a decent player at a good price.
