Hi Everyone! sorry this has taken me so long but I've just completed this podcast, just applying the finishing touches and it should be available in 24 hours or so. In this episode I do some embossing with the Braille Writer using the Mountbatten's built-in "forward translator" and I look at various ways and means. This episode deals with embossing from Windows and the MB Com software which comes with the Mountbatten Brailler and does not attempt to explore Duxbury, Monti or any other Windows-Based Braille embossing applications and an explanation as to "why?" is given in the recording.
I make mention of this podcast episode to alert you to the "up coming" third part which I hope to start producing as soon as my USB to serial adapter arrives and that should be early next week, what's so important about that? Well, I'll be using it to as part of the setup for embossing from the Mac to the Mountbatten Brailler and for those who wish to emboss? Well you may like to give this system some thought as the embossing software is freely available and has more functionality than does Duxbury or Monti for Windows, just goes to show what programmers can come up with (a job very well done Greg) <smile>. In the meanwhile, if you want to "jump the queue" so to speak and "get cracking" with embossing from your Mac then email me and I will forward some useful resources onto you. ****************************** Dane Trethowan From Melton Victoria Australia mailto:Dane Trethowan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> phone +61 3 9005 8589 Fax/TTY +61 3 9743 7954 mobile/sms: +614 418 773 532 MSN: [EMAIL PROTECTED] skype: callto:grtdane12 ****************************** Jonathan Mosen List Founder Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
