Subject: Can one rip to a flash drive

I've been trying to send a friend some music on a flash drive. She only
wants it in .wav. I know it would be so much easier in .mp3, but she's
a sound snob!

How is the best way to get .wav files on to a flash drive? I tried
ripping them with Windows Media Player 9 and the current beta of CDEX,
but nothing shows up even though I've specified the correct drive.

What am I doing wrong, if anything? Can I simply copy and paste the
files from my hard drive to the flash drive?

Thanks for any help.
