What I'm noticing about streaming is that title streaming odesn't work, and I think oyou may have some buffering issues...The developer has said "don't use it for streaming". I can't tell the difference, BTW, re: Sound card...And that's on my M-Audio Delta card with Beyerdynamic DT779 Pro reference headphones. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dana S. Nick,

I recently began to acquire a large number of MP3 audio files, in addition
to the AACPlus files I rip myself from my own CDs. I'm mostly concerned with
making the playback of these mp3 files sound as good as possible, rather
than with playing streams; and I really don't want to have to learn to use a
new player, in addition to the Winamp I know and love.

But is there a particular stream you know of that has difficulty with the
MAD plug-in, just so I can test it, and see if I encounter the same or
similar problems?

Right now, I'm using MAD 0.14.2B, as I haven't yet found anything more
current.

Thank you.

Blessed Be, Namaste,

Dana

I wouldn't use it, personally. It breaks things, most noteably streaming support, which isn't that great with said plugin. If you want something that uses Mad, use Foobar2000 from www.foobar2000.org. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Pattison" <s...@internode.on.net>

I hope this helps.
