Hi there, I have these same Shure ear-buds and they are great. I also have some good Sony's which work great.
Mainly what you want are buds that fit at the entrance of the ear canal to get the best bass response, and this will cut out external noise. My Sony's cost me about $60 and the Shure's were about $120. Don't settle for low priced ones, because the quality won't be very good, and most folks can tell the difference. Hope this helps.
