No need. The playlist is simply a text file with the names of the files you want played in the order to be played, each file on a separate line. Such as 01 myfirstsong.mp3 02 mysecondsong.mp3
The names must appear exactly as the file name, which means that the numbers above must be in the filename. Place the playlist in the folder with the files to be played. If you put the playlist in the root, you must have the fully qualified path such as: c:\songs\01 myfirstsong.mp3 c:\songs\02 mysecondsong.mp3 ----- Original Message ----- From: Robert doc Wright To: PC Audio Discussion List Sent: Thursday, May 07, 2009 10:52 AM Subject: Re: What am I doing wrong? could you send me a copy of one of your m3u files off list? talmi...@wrightplaceinc.net -- By the time you can make ends meet, they move the ends. -- robert Doc Wright http://www.wrightplaceinc.net msn godfeare...@hotmail.com ----- Original Message ----- From: Dave McElroy WA6BEF To: 'PC Audio Discussion List' Sent: Wednesday, May 06, 2009 6:41 PM Subject: What am I doing wrong? Ok, this is probably an elementary question so I'll just say that now before you all start laughing. I've decided that I'd like to play some of my albums in order as they appear. So a couple of them now have ready made M3U files but when I open them they seem to go straight to the end of the file and though Winamp is open it tells me "track 15 stopped" as an example. Am I doing something wrong? As long as I've played with this stuff I've never once touched a play list, which is why I say I am assuredly elementary in this arena. So what am I doing wrong? Many thanks.
