Hi Barry, you answered the next question I was going to post. I thought I had enabled this function of CDex, but I need to adjust it if it's enabled at all. Thanks much, Norma

You can also normalize files in CDEX when ripping. To do this:

1. Press F4 to bring up the CDEX configuration.

2. Ctrl+tab to the generic tab.

3. Tab to the Normalize Volume checkbox and check it.

4. Tab once to enter the percentage to which you wish to normalize. I would suggest setting it to something in the early nineties.

Hi Norma,

I've found the free program MP3 Gain available from http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net
works well when you want to increase the volume of several MP3 files.
MP3 Gain is also very accessible. I hope this helps.
