The same principle would work, but instead of splitting the tracks with
an audio editor they're using the DAISY standard to mark the different
chapters and headings. I haven't done this myself, or used any of the
DAISY tools, but this is still a manual effort, and NLS has to cut over
to doing this for all of the new books as well as convert all of the
existing books over to this newDAISY digital standard. Furthermore, to
keep patrons like me happy, they have to do all of this as soon as
possible. Therefore, they're choosing not to put this effort into all of
their existing books.
