Hi that didn't seem to work by using numpad or the home row. I have started using firefox with this because ie was freezing. Do I have to activate the on screen remote because that does not seem to give me access or can I just change it from any wear on the site.
thanks
Lisa

Subject: Slingbox for Lisa

Press the numbers row on your keyboard to change the channels. For DirecTV channel ESPN I press 206 and it takes me there. Been using 2 Slingboxes here for over 3 years now. Applian Technologies makes the At-Large Recorder software that allows you to record the signal from your Slingbox hardware. They have no affiliations with Sling Media. Two different companies. The At-Large Recorder software can be used with JAWS because I use it here and can be configured using either your Finder ID or IP number you used to open the ports on the router. Port forwarding. I did the whole Slingbox setup myself. Did you do it by yourself? The only thing I don't know is if At-Large Recorder will work on new Slingbox hardware but I was told the other day it doesn't work with HD signal. I have no high definition here so it works. Since we are not interested in video just audio the At-Large Recorder can be configured to record at a low bit rate meaning very small recorded files of what you record.

Also when Applian Technologies releases their new Replay Converter the At-Large Recorder files you have can be burned to DVD blank diss for playback on home DVD players but I do not know what the video quality will be. The current Replay Converter application does not convert the At-Large Recorder files correctly.

Email me privately if you want to talk about all this. Glad to help you out. My Skype ID is
