Listers,

Lately I have been experiencing what appears to be a startup problem that manifests itself when plugging in my card reader with a 16gb SCHD card for copying content to my VRStream. Some times, I am told that my device isn't a USB2 device, and I should think about installing USB2 on my system. OK, at least I think I remember it saying something to that effect. When I just press escape to remove the message, my copying definitely is slower than when I don't receive this message. I think I was also having this problem the other night when trying to rip with cdex. The rips were painfully slow. In that case, I went to sleep on it, and the next morning, things were back to normal, and my rips proceeded normally.

I'm just wondering if there is a place I can go within the control panel to check on the status of my USB setup in Windows, as in the control panel. And if so, what should I look for. Whenever I look at some of this stuff within device manager, it seems more than a bit over my head, and I consider myself to be an experienced PC user after lo these 20 years <g>. Anyway, this problem is becoming both annoying and worrisome. Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Larry
