Thanks Mark. That's just the type of input I was looking for. Love
listening to audio books, but sometimes you just want to listen to
something that's updated on a daily basis (Newspaper, Magazines, Blogs.)

Hi
The kindle is amazing. As a braille reader and somebody who doesn't
particularly like conventional audio books it has revolutionised my
reading. About 95 per cent of all the books I have looked are
enabled for speech. When you first get it some sighted help might be
an advantage as you have to turn on the speech function. Although I
was able to do this with the help of the excellent customer service
people telling me how many times to move down or up and when to
press stuff. The only thing that is totally not accessible is to
search for books and download them via the kindle so a 3g version
isn't worth it. You should go for the wi-fi version instead. You
just go to amazon on you laptop or pc and select your book you can
then download it wirelessly which is free straight to your
kindle. You can also put other files on there such as pdf but I
don't know if these are spoken and audio books from audible.com or
audible.co.uk.
hope all this isn't too much waffle for you.
