I use Airport Express or Apple TV units here if I want to add speakers
and I use these devices for several reasons.
Firstly, audio quality is extremely good - particularly if you can
connect these devices to digital inputs of speakers, amps or whatever.
Secondly, Airport Express and Apple TV can be used with a wide variety
of devices, if you got a pair of wireless speakers then you're somewhat
restricted so as you can gather, plug an Airport Express or Apple TV
into whatever you like whether it be that old $30.00 pair of battery
operated speakers, the boombox in the kitchen or the audio phile amp in
the lounge its your boat.
There are many ways Airport and Apple TV can be utilised, everything
from streaming from your computer using various apps to having other
devices such as amps stream to them, I wrote about some new amps from
pioneer which are totally compatible with Airport Express, Apple TV and
anything else which uses the "Airplay" streaming technology.
Something for you to consider anyway.

Hi everyone, as you can tell from my subject, I am looking for any
recommendations you all might have for me for 2 sets of wireless Stereo
speakers.
My stereo receiver has already worked with a wireless set in my bedroom and a
wirered set in my livingroom, where the receiver is.
Now, do to a rearrangement of my livingroom furniture, I would like to put
speakers at either end of my couch, across the room from the receiver.
These speakers will be near an outlet, so power will be no trouble, they won't
be running on batteries. They just won't be hooked into my stereo as they are
now.
Do you think that having 2 sets of wireless speakers will be a problem?
RadioShack has several wireless speakers for sale on their website:
www.radioshack.com
But how am I to choose? I can't listen to them online or in the store, since
these are just online items.
Any thoughts or suggestions, will be greatly appreciated! Vicky
The other set will be in my bedroom to either side of the head of my bed.
