The best quality one I've seen thus far is the LS-7. You can index your files I think, but if the LS ones are like the DM ones they are Olympus marks. I mean that only the recorder can see the marks. Is that what you meen by indexing? Like putting a mark into a file like in Sound Forge or Studio Recorder? If it's the date and time kind of thing, it does that by it self. That's what the name of the file will be.
