Hello!
I know that the sqr crossfader plug in has a small compressor within it self, I use to have that turned on when I was gigging as a DJ, but that was before I heard about optimax for winamp.

I also still use Audiostocker in Winamp. I've tried a number of others but for simplicity and good sound I've always come back to Audiostocker.
Also it was free, always a nice option!

I don't believe sqr is a limiter. It's just a crossfader and I don't think it would do what he's looking for.
I use audiostocker but I don't think u can get it anymore.
Most people are now using the gain features of there media player to normalize all mp3's individually, by album, folder, and/or playlist. than it's set no matter what media player you use. I keep telling myself I'm going to do that but I haven't yet, I take the lazy way out and use audiostocker.

I use SQRsoft advanced crossfading. It should be in the plugins section of
the winamp page.

Subject: looking for a good limiter for winamp

Hi I would like to find a good limiter for win amp.
So that when I am playing MP3 files I don't have to reach for the volume and
turn it up and down.
While going from file to file because some are softer or louder then others.
I am using windows 7 home if that helps any.
And if anyone can post where to get any of these limiter suggestions.
So I would have an idea where to get them.
that would be a big help.
Thank you all and have a nice day.
