Depends on what you want your mic for.

The mic on the Logitech headsets I've never liked much, sounds like you're talking through your nose when speaking into one of those things - at least with my set anyway so I hope they've improved -.

Surprisingly Logitech market a good all-round desktop USB microphone for around $25.00 which will suit most situations, use it with Skype or dictation software, I've used mine with Reaper and Garage band when mixing tracks with good results.

The Microphone is mono and a USB type.

What this microphone proves I think is that you don't have to spend a small fortune to purchase a decent sounding microphone.
