Hi Gary and list,
The problem turned out to be a router issue. DOn't know what it was,
but re-setting the router gave acces to audio streams.
aah well, such is life

Good evening folks
running windows 7 32-bit
The problem here is that when I want to play an audio stream from
the net, any player chosen is stopped. Playing files located on
the machine is fine, but either entering a stream address in to say
winamp, winamp comes back with The address and the message access
denied winamp stopped.
Same with windows media player. Obviously it doesn't give the error
winamp stopped.
equally files will not play if they are called from the email
client, or internet explorer, this used to work during better days
when XP ruled.
I've temporarily disabled firewall and UAC, but to no avail.
Anybody had this problem and wants to share how they got round it?
or, never had the problem and wants to share how they would get
round it if they did have it?
Thanks.
