sound taxi question

hI, thanks for your message robert. i i think i must have chosen the 
wron convertion because i have ended up, with a file ending in .m4a
i can play this, but i can't change its rates in cdex, which is the 
programme i usually use, because cdex won't recegnise it. any suggestions brian.
