Yes, the radio is available in the U.S. and Australia though I can't see why it wouldn't be available anywhere else.

Hello Dane where can you get this radio or look at this radio in the united states?
Is this something you would have to order from Ccrane?
I know that C crane just put out A new radio A hand held with A.m and F.m and weather band.
It was something like 59.00 or about that price.
It is a hand held radio.
So take a look about that one on there site encase you haven't already seen it.
Here I will post the e-mail that I have gotten.
Witch talks more about this radio.

This radio has been seen in stores for below $45.00, at that price its an absolute bargain so get the radio whilst you can.

Nothing fancy about this little beauty, it receives AM and FM well and sounds as good as the price does.

The PDR6 is a very small portable with a 3 inch speaker which delivers an incredibly rich and clear sound for a radio of its size.

The radio has bass and treble controls to customise the sound even further to your liking though I found listening to a variety of material including music and sport to be very enjoyable with both bass and treble controls set to flat.

The bass and treble have detents in the middle of their travel so setting these controls to flat is no "Hit and Miss" exercise.

Volume, Bass and Treble controls have that lovely "Thick Drag" type feel to them.

The Bass and Treble controls will require a little force to adjust as these controls look like small discs nearly flush to the left-hand side of the radio so you'll need two fingers to make an adjustment most likely.

There's only 2 other controls, the tuning knob and the power on/off/Fm/AM selector.

Sensitivity and selectivity of this radio are reasonable and I found no overloading on the AM or FM bands.

The Tuning knob offers a little springy resistance when turned but I don't mind this, I found it easier with this sort of feel to "Fine Tune" signals.

For the FM antenna Sangean have included a screw on "Rubber Ducky" type antenna and I have wondered why other manufacturers haven't warmed to this idea before now, removing the antenna means that you have a very compact radio unit indeed and why have the antenna attached at all if you're just enjoying AM broadcasts.

The PRD6 runs on 4 AA batteries or a 6 volt power adapter which came supplied with my model, the speaker has a power rating of 1 watt so I should think that this radio should provide you with a good 20 hours of continuous quality listening with a set of Alkaline batteries.

The headphone output is stereo for FM broadcasts but unfortunately there's no stereo/mono switch, probably a mute point I guess but the stereo/mono switch is dead handy for pulling in those weak FM signals.

The PDR6 is all about value, good build and displaying great attributes of a good radio for a most reasonable price.

People have asked me which I prefer, the CC EP Analogue tuning radio or the Sangean PRD6 reviewed here, I'd take the PRD6 any time.

Yes, the CC EP is more sensitive without a doubt but build quality is absolutely shocking, I've had 2 of CC EP radios and they just don't last. The PRD6 is sensitive and selective enough for most situations and at nearly half the price of a CC EP radio but the sound of the PRD6 sells it.
