John,

I think the program you are referring too is CDEX, and it is not a burning program, but a ripper. This meaning that it doesn't burn cds, but rips tracks from a cd, then converts them to .mp3, .ogg, .flac or any desired compression format. I've been using CDEX for over a decade, and it does what it does and does it quite well. However, it doesn't burn cds. I use Nero to that purpose.

Gerardo,

What is CDX and where do I find it?

Thanks,

How about CdEx? Once you have the songs converted to MP3 with the CdEx, you can rename them by putting 01 so and so, 02 so and so.

Hi,
the best one is BurnAware.
There is a free version, and a very nice one called premium that also has
copying capabilities.

     Hi all,
Sometime ago, folks were talking about a simple but good and free cd
burning program we can download to our computers. Can someone please
give me some good suggestions to use in my recording studio? I don't
care to use anything too complex.
Thank you,
John
