Your screen reader's speech output will not get captured / recorded. When your 
station(s) is using 'direct download' it is being silently recorded in the 
background and allows you to do other things with the computer like email, web 
surfing and 
much more.

Also you can record multiple stations at the same time silently if they are 
direct download.
Say you want to record station 1 and station 2 at the same time at 2 PM or 1400 
hours you can do it if they are using direct download.

Try it.
