I've had my set now for a fortnight so have had plenty of time to play with the
radio.

Firstly I'm very happy to state that - for 135 dollars U.S. - this radio offers
excellent value for money and CCrane have done a superb job.

The muting problems I mentioned when I last wrote about this set are a minor
irritation but they certainly don't or won't stop me using this radio.

The audio of the CC 2E is far better than that of the CC 2 and the CC2E does
not overload, a nice, welcome and pleasant surprise.

Sensitivity is very directional but good so be prepared to get into the habit
of turning your CC 2E around often.

The CC 2E has less background noise than the CC 2 but yet the sensitivity is
still there though perhaps the 2E isn't quite as sensitive as the 2, I'd rather
be using a 2E given its excellent audio on AM and its directionality which
means its great for nulling out stations in order to pick up those weaker one's.

FM is also something to write home about with this radio, its on a Par with
such good performers as the Sangean PRD15 and the Sangean ATS909x, pulling in
stations 100 miles away is no problem to do and they're heard with little
background hiss or interference.

Like the two other outstanding FM performers I've mentioned the CC 2E does a
very nice job at receiving those weaker stations close to strong signals, we
have a station here on 95.5 and there's a smaller transmitter 30 miles away on
95.7. Most other FM radios would simply not be able to receive or would ignore
totally the 95.7 transmission but the CC 2E along with the Sangean PRD15 and
ATS909X receive it as though it were a local station.

Even though I had to pay $65.00 for shipping to Australia, I'm reaping the
rewards from this very nice radio.
