When I installed it, they were set by default to go to the Music folder, and I just left it that way for the present to test it out. But that's in Windows Vista, that may be different for different operating systems. But you can check on that by simply tabbing through the buttons without even going into any menus. Maybe it's converting and you just can't find the converted files. What happens when you tell it to convert something? For me, it tells me what file it is working on and the percentages every so often. If it does that for you, then I would say that it's converting something, but you just may need to check to see where it's putting the files it converts.
