Yeah, the TTS is epic. I wish the LS 100 had it. As for the battery thing, well you save money. You just recharge it every time.

The mics are pretty good considering they are builtin microphones but the best feature by far on this recorder is that it has TTS so you actually can browse through your recordings and have file names an folders spoken which isn't the case for other Olympus recorders having voice guidance. My one major complaint about this recorder is that it uses a rechargeable battery very similar to a cell phone battery where my preference is standard triple or double a batteries.
