Is WinRAR no longer free?  I looked on that site, but everything I saw
seemed to indicate that it's "paid!"  All I saw were "trial"...leading me to
believe that WinRAR is no longer a free program!

a Rar is probably a compressed archive. It's an alternative to the .zip 
algorithm. Get the Winrar programme mentioned in the post above to 
uncompress/extract .rar files.
