I did post a link to the help center which should help you with Windows Media Player.

So you use Nero? Heaven help you <smile>, that is reall ythe worst Ripper around, it used to be quite reasonable but it just doesn't read CD'S properly, nor do most of the other free CD Ripping solutions out there to be honest, the only one which does is Exact Audio Copy still.

I use to burn with it, in version 11, but can't get to work in 12.
I now use Nero.

Curiosity now has the better of me so I’ll take a look for myself, been a long while since I myself have had a look at the Media Player.

Interesting to hear you say that, I know others who use Windows Media 12
- think it is now - with Windows 7 and I've not heard any noise when it
comes to accessibility issues etc, I know people who use this
extensively and no other.

I'm not too sure about Windows Media Player anymore (Windows Media 11 was good; I used to use it) but when I got Windows 7 and tried to use the version of Windows Media there (think its 12) it wasn't quite so intuitive...at least not for me!

Hi!

Someone on list asked about free CD Ripping Software a little while ago, I answered with iTunes though of course I didn’t realise at the time that there’s probably an even better answer built right into Windows itself which I assume the questioner was using.

The answer of course is Windows Media Player which - when I last tried it - was very accessible indeed.

I didn’t follow the conversation at the time so perhaps someone else on list suggested Windows Media Player anyway.
