Speaking of the USB record player or turntable, it seems that all I've seen
advertised have ceramic cartrages. Does anyone know of one that has a magnetic
cartrage? Thus far, I've been using my old, old stereo with its tape output
jacks connected to the soundcard input of the recording computer running
goldwave for recording. For me, that might be the best choice; so I don't have
to purchase any more hardware. This system allows me to convert vinyl,
cassettes, and open reel. Of course, all these analog devices introduce extra
hum and hiss; but to my seventy year old ears, it sounds pretty good.
