Hi!

I'm very glad to say that - if you've been wanting a premium Executive Desktop phone system - then the Gigaset DX800A will give you exactly that though please note that I'm not sure of the availability for U.S. customers.

With the DX800A we're talking premium telephony and yet the phone system is as simple enough as placing a call and picking up the receiver.

there are far too many features and functions to be named so I'll list a couple here.

Connection flexibility which includes 6 VOIP lines, PSTN line and connection - via Bluetooth - to a mobile phone device such as your iPhone.

3 definable answering machines

Six programmable function keys.

Easy to read display

Setup and management of phone system by web configurator

pair up to 6 handsets to the base

Brilliant audio quality from handsets and speakerphone.

So there you have it in a nutshell.

Along with the DX800A phone itself the user can purchase extra cordless handsets to fully customise the experience and Gigaset make a whole range of handsets that are compatible with this model.

I know of two different models of handset which may suit various people depending on their needs.

The SL910 is a Bluetooth model of handset which can be paired with Bluetooth headsets and the like on the go, this set also has extremely good quality audio.

The C610H handset is a push button handset with easy to identify buttons and again, great quality audio.

The first handset I mentioned has a flat screen however I've used small dots to mark each button thus I'm able to access most functions. The SL910 also has a proximity sensor, move the handset away from your face and the handset goes into speakerphone mode, of course - if you prefer - you can use your favorite Bluetooth headset instead of the handset, whatever floats your boat.

What I've written here is a mere summary of what this incredible phone system can do and I'm very excited to see that premium executive desktop telephone systems haven't gone the way of the past, its true that the technology has evolved but so has the telephone.
