Hi Martin , I am using ./pca -H -f |awk '{print $1}' to create a patch_order list . I then use this file as an order to install patches using a script . However I getting allot of patches failed because of dependencies .

Look closer, e.g at: > 112785 34 < 63 RS- 34 X11 6.6.1: Xsun patch > 112661 06 < 11 RS- 478 SunOS 5.9: IIIM and X Input & Output ... and > 115697 01 < 02 R-- 999 SunOS 5.9: mtmalloc lib Patch > 112837 -- < 14 RS- 142 SunOS 5.9: in.dhcpd & libresolv patch They aren't in numerical order. While pca uses the order of patches in the patchdiag.xref by default (which is numerical), it *does* resolve the dependencies correctly. When in doubt, use pca's --debug option or simply try to install the patches.
