Dear PCE,
A new draft has been uploaded analyzing the impact of different types of SRv6
MSDs when PCE sends SR-TE paths to the PCE.
Currently, RFC9603 specified that the PCE MUST NOT send SR-TE paths with a
number of SIDs exceeding the MSD value set by PCC. However, unlike SR-MPLS,
there're 4 types of MSDs defined for SRv6,not all of them must be considered
when sending a SID-list to the head-end node.
This document updates RFC9603 on the MSD restrictions, and it also specifies a
procedure for optimizing the number of SIDs in an SRv6-TE path that PCE can
compute when the reduced SRH mode is used.
Any feedback or comments are more than welcome.
Thanks,
Yao

Abstract:
This document analyzes the impact of different SRv6 MSDs when PCE
sends SR-TE paths to the PCE. And it updates the MSD restrictions in
RFC9603 based on the analysis. This document also specifies a
procedure for optimizing the number of SIDs in an SRv6-TE path that
PCE can compute when the reduced SRH mode is used.
