Steve - what an innovative idea. I like it. Would you be willing to host the meeting? We currently do not have a president of PCES and have been relying on program committee members (me, Martin Hauser, Pete Oboyski) to chair the meeting if they are hosting at their institution. Not ideal, but it has been working. We have also been using a BABS style format for meetings, i.e. dinner at the institution starting at 6pm, immediately followed by the meeting and talk starting at 7pm, followed by social. Schedule obviously could be adjusted. when were you thinking? we currently do not have a May meeting scheduled due to lack of a speaker. I also love this idea! If organizing can be done remotely (I'm in Sonoma County, not the Davis area) then I'm happy to help. There is an iMax theater here that has a program where for $7 per person they show a film of your own choosing for a group. They have a large library to choose from. I am not sure there at any insect related films there, but I could check. If we wanted to do that for a regular meeting, we could. Or we could promote it as a way to attract new members, or we could charge more than $7 per person and make it into a fund raiser. You might discuss it and see if there is any interest. Dr. Steven L.
