Because I am a Mac Professional and need digital photos all the time, and the
Olympus C-3030 that I have takes FAR better pictures than any of the Sony's that
I have used (MVC-CD1000, the Cybershot -F505v and the Mavica 475?? a year or 2
ago). I have also used 2 Nikon cameras and the Olympus takes better photos.
<---period.

I can take 33 Super High Res 2048 x 1536 photos on one card, either that or well
over a hundred smaller TIffs. This camera also allows me to record quicktime
movies as well as doubling as a web cam. It is by far the nicest digital camera
that I have ever used. And the cost is right. My friend nearly cried when we
got back to the lab after shooting the same job. Me with my $699 Olympus and
him with his $1100 Sony MVC-CD1000 (the one that records to mini CD-R's). My
photo's were so much more vivid and clearer than his, that he actually took his
camera back and Got the newest C3040 Olympus.

As further testimonial, my neighbor, Mark Downey, Is a photographer for National
Geographic magazine, and he uses Olympus cameras for all his digital photography
(he uses Nikon for regular film). There is no higher recommendation than that.
