I've installed the 8.6 update on the 7300 and 9500. Are there any further worth while updates before OS 9? Can you use PC PCI modems in these mac's? I have a PC 3Com US Robotics 56k modem pci int lying around and I was wondering is there anyway to get this working with these Mac or will I need a Mac specific one. I have a Zoom 56k external, but no serial to modem cable, and I don't reall want an external on either. Too much cable clutter.
I get a 42k line from my modem at home here in ireland.
