Yeh, you have ot be careful to do large drives as HFS+. I got exactly
the same shock when I hung a 40GB drive on my quadra. I copied a 99MB
copy of OS 8.1 to it and it took up 281MB!! Opppsss :(.
The added bummer is my Quadra won't boot off of an HFS+ disk (poor dear
isn't a PowerMac u see) so i have to have 1GB as HFS to boot off.
