Just a question, I'm sure I'll learn the Hard Way real soon now, but can one boot a regular MacOS (8.5 or 9.0.4) install CD from an IDE burner (a 32/10/40x TDK VeloCD, to be exact) hooked up to a VST UltraTek 66 card in a 9600 (Tsunami, not Kansas)?
Also, I know it's "supposed to", but has anyone ever had a 9(5,6)00 go crazy with nothing (not even a cable, no internal terminator) hooked to the internal fast SCSI port? I think I might get unterminated SCSI voodoo, but then again I might not because I won't be using the SCSI controller at all, it'll just get some strange results when it probes at boot time, but that's it, I think...
