Although I've had this drive for a couple of years, I recently
noticed a situation when waking from deep sleep (sleep from menu or
power-on key).

Since I'm not sure if i've ever selected sleep before, as opposed to
letting it sleep, I'm not sure if this has always been a problem.

The second internal drive in my 8500 is a Seagate ST15150N and has
been working fine since I got it. While formatted with LaCie's
SilverLining waking from deep sleep will produce a little yellow
error window saying: "The application "Finder" has unexpectantly
quit. You should save your work..."

Since I had time on my hands I tried everything from zapping PRAM to
reinstalling system onto main drive. If I don't select sleep,
everything is O.K.

The same drive formatted with Apple's Drive Setup will not mount from
a cold start (after Shutdown), but will subsequently mount upon every
restart.

None of this would really bother me, as I can work around these
things. It's just that any anomaly concerning a hard drive is a
little unsettling.

Any ideas?
