Questions:

Does a PCI processor upgrade (ie. a sonnet G3 into an 8500) increase the bus speed?

Is it then slowed down by "slow" memory on the motherboard?
I was under the impression that a G4 only benifits specific software that calls G4
routines. Is this true?
Is IDE inherently slower than SCSI?
What about ATA?
