In response to Albert D'Amanda concerning my PowerMac 7300, and problems with IDE
drives not booting
the machine :

1- What is a "Blessed System Folder" ?
2 - All three drives (2 IDE HDs, and 1 SCSI HD) show up in the Startup Disk control
panel
3a - I used the OS 9.1 CD to install OS 9.1 on the 40GB HD
3b - The 6GB HD was pulled from my G3, and was fully functional, with a complete
System (installed
from OS 8.5, updated to OS 8.6)
4 - The only way I can presently boot the machine is from the 1GB SCSI HD, with OS 9.1
5 - When I select either IDE HD, the machine just boots from the SCSI HD
5 - Both IDE drives are accessible, and able to read/write, with no problems
